Resources for the Road Ahead

Short study habits that work, plus where to find the official rules.

Study tips

  • Study a little each day. Several short sessions stick better than one long one.
  • Say the answer out loud before you check it. Hearing yourself helps you remember.
  • When you miss a question, read the explanation, then try again later from your review list.
  • Learn the numbers with their conditions, such as speed, weight or distance, not just the number alone.
  • Finish General Knowledge first. Air Brakes and Combination Vehicles build on it.
